Out of interest, how was that exhaust fitted? Had they just chopped a dirty great big hole in the bottom of the clam or undertray?

They cut a hole in the undertray - not a big one i have to say, only the size of the pipe. it then was held with a hanger which went onto the offside hanger for standard exhausts, and finally was bolted at the top of each can to the rear clam.

have repaired the bolt holes on the rear clam with fibre glass while doing the other parts and for the undertray, i am going to get a diffuser, when i have some more money :)

Thank God you are returning this VX back to how it should be thumbsup . It was shocking before. Funny thing is they probably spent a wedge getting it to look like that  Keep us updated as you go along. p.s. Looks a good job on the carpeting thumbsup although Im a bare aluminium man myself, I much prefer the naked look.

yeah the funny thing is they did spend a fortune on getting it to look like that. well they had a full re-spray done, carbon spoiler, tonne in chrome alloys, some sort of side skirts - still must cost for something, and exhaust, and i dont thiunk to micron cans are cheap??

If you deleted them from Imageshack, they will delete here. If you did delete them from Imageshack - reload them with the same file names you used here, and the photos will reappear here.

update on the work carried out this weekend. sorry for the pic quality, didn't have my camera so used the phone.

well firstly, my wheels arrived friday................

hopefully going to have the tyre's swapped this week, just need to find someone i can trust not to mark the wheels.

the spoiler also arrived friday and at the weekend primed and fitted (so the holes are ready for fitting, after the clam is painted)

also most of the parts are now in primer including the cars sills. the clams should be all sanded filled where bits need tidy'ing and primed this week. :)

also i read mandarin's project last week, and really liked what he done with his lights......... so i thought i would have ago (on the rear's as my fronts are already black!) i wanted to take them apart anyway as there was to much water getting in for my lik'ing! only took a pic of primed then painted as mandarin has got the job in detail!

now just need to tiger seal them back together!

also just done a few little tidy'ing jobs, but wont get into that.
i'm really glad how the car is coming on and the changes it has had - cant wait, im really starting to miss driving her :(
especially with the great weather we had this weekend and see'ing loads of other cars with there roofs down!
it will be worth the wait.................... :groupjump:
