Hi Duncan,
i have the VXR MAF & i'm running a 63mm solid ally pipe from the turbo inlet with the MAF in there (yet to get rubber adaptors) along with a K&N filter stuffed into the pax side vent.
a couple of reasons for doing it this way really,
i dont have a std airbox & the 2.2 engine came with a K&N fitted, i bought a load of 63mm pipework & i konw the VXR MAF is better.
let me know if you want pics......
p.s. i know a lot of tha astra VXR boys run the CDTI airbox, but its about ?200 quid for the conversion apparantly.....

From vaux a new box filter its only £60you can get it cheaper could not see it been more than £100 all in but then maybe someone is making £100 each kit lol. 63mm feels a bit small tbh the pro alloy is 70mm. John are you running the 80mm MAF then? Better than std rubber pipe though
