I've used them twice - and both times they have been a nightmare. Am currently trying to get an expensive part which arrived with a manufacturing fault/damage exchanged, and they're being pretty irksome and unhelpful
And they do reply to emails
Sorry to be a pest, but who are LMF, where are they based and what is their contact number. Am trying to source a nearside front shock absorber and it is proving to be a little more than tricky. Got an order with AutoVaux (or so I hope after having to explain the make, model and part twice) who are trying to get hold of the VX220 Supremo/Scarlet Pimpernel at the supplier to get an idea of availability and delivery date. But after a week I getting a little bored with the hmmm... it's on order but hasn't arrived yet.
I understand that the VX220 is a specialist car, but I wish I could just get a straight answer... If it's going to be a couple of days great, if it's going to be more than a week booo, but thank you for letting me know!
So in the end I have resorted to ringing the stealers for a price and to say they are supposed to be the local 220 specialist, the parts department seem a little clueless also... but did give the slightest more convincing response... We don't stock it, but can I take a number and ring you back once I have spoken to the supplier....... Thank you and yes you bloody can my number is 07.......
I have all my fingers and toes crossed and now it's getting painful to type.
The worst thing is that I really need to get a replacement part as I really don't think the council will pay for Gaz shocks all round.
Oi Councils: Get the blooooody pot holes of Britain fixed, unemployment rates are high yes? Well there is certainly a job there for at least half a million for the best part of a year to get the roads fixed. Do you know what give me some bloody tarmac and PPE and if fill the feckers in!

Yes, I had a similar problem first time round. Second time has just been

LMF Vauxhall (put it in Google) are just another parts supplier - although they may have your item in stock; if not - you will get the same story as you have already been given.
Agree about potholes - and will add pavements to that

As a matter of interest, other than the one review on here about the Spax suspension kit does anyone have a comparison to the ordinary Gaz kit? I am getting a little fed up of not having anyone get back to me regarding a single replacement shocker, or only being able to give me a supply date once I have ordered. If it's going to be that much of an arse then I may just bite the bullet now in case I have to go through this all over again.
If you can go without the car for a few days you can send the shocks back to Bilstein to be rebuilt, would probably be cheaper to get all four done than to buy a single new unit.

Autovaux are probably fine if you have no issues, but god forbid if you have a problem. The first time I bought something, it was a nightmare - but that was nothing compared to the second time.
I bought I footrest, which had a manufacturer fault. Autovaux were none too helpful, but at their behest I returned it on 30th March at a cost of circa 9. They said that because it looked like it had been damaged in transit (impossible, as they well knew), they would not refund me the return cost.
They ordered a replacement, and they themselves acknowledged that it too had production flaws (still no sign of a refund of the return postage though) and they claim they tried to send me photos of it - although I never received them. They then said that they were going to send it to me anyway - after acknowledging it was flawed! I said that I didn't want a flawed item, especially given the high value (circa 160), and asked that they order another. They declined, so I asked for a refund. Despite numerous phone calls and emails, here I am nearly 2 months later with no footrest and no refund.
if its much help. the lads from autovaux "should" be at PVS in June... OK its a stupid vauxhall show but if you go in a shed and dont take Vince then it should be all good for you to have a chat with them in person.

They are indeed. Was speaking to them on Friday and he mentioned they'd be there. As usual, great service from them. Called me back twice to confirm times on a couple of bits I'd ordered after he called around some of their tame dealers.if its much help. the lads from autovaux "should" be at PVS in June... OK its a stupid vauxhall show but if you go in a shed and dont take Vince then it should be all good for you to have a chat with them in person.
