They appear to be based in the Southport area, quite close to me in fact.

Sounds good but how hard would it be for them to get hold of a seat from a scrappy and strip it down to see what's what? It just seems a bit weird that a potential future venture is taken on by getting measurements from joe bloggs with his wanky tape measure. I hope they come up with something but don't want to see them waste time and money cobbling together prototypes that may or may not fit.
Nice and constructive

By the way, I can tell you my tape measure isn't wanky!! And my name isn't Joe.

I take it you not interested then? Probably not, according to your profile you don't even own a VX!! Hmmmm
What you don't obviously understand is this isn't a massive company with a huge warehouse, this is a proper old school company that want to work closely with a customer so they get exactly what they want, they normally only work in the kit car scene etc... I don't want a replica of what we have already as that's not the point, and having a seat or a set of seat runners will only help but not solve the problem of needing to take measurements!!! As the design is completely different from standard seat, before wasting time and money we'll be looking at other seats i.e the old lotus europa or westfield seats etc..!
Sorry if the reply is a little harsh but jumping in the thread and making comments like that, without anything useful to say, is not really on!

I think making sure they get what they need (re. measurements) from the get go is very important, and by having something that is known to fit would be the sensible route, even more so if they are a small company. I can't believe that by getting a few measurements they will be able to produce something that will fit, I hope I'm wrong but it just made more sense to me if they had a 'known' product to start from, not copy, just base dimensions on.
As mentioned in my first post I hope it comes off and am interested to hear more. I didn't want to knock the thread, just thought it may save time and money for all involved. If they can do what they say then that's excellent and I look forward to where it goes from here

To add a little perspective, these are really cheap and look good quality, I've seen seating for gamers that are twice the price so £200 a pair is excellent.
Expensive gaming seat!!!
