Clever me has lost the locking wheel nut key – slap head! :SMACK: The only thing I can be thankful is that I know that they are not done up tight having only had the wheels off 2 weeks earlier, I also copper greased just the locking wheel bolts for future ease of getting it off! So before I start attacking them with an impact wrench and big hammer…. What do I get to replace them once they’re out? I was thinking my options are: 1. Another set of locking wheel nuts 2. Don’t bother with locking ones, just put some normal bolts (where could I get these from that won’t charge the earth?) 3. Replace all the bolts for studs and nuts I’m kinda inclined to get some sort of locking nuts just to stop the opportunists having a crack at whipping the wheels away. It could also be an issue with the insurance company, I dunno?. Any one got any suggestions as to what make to go for?

They're just normal GM wheel bolts. You can fling some in your tool case whilst wandering round and scrappy in europe.

Cheers, I'll borrow some from my Astra seeing as that's up on axle stands at the mo.

The company in Germany that make the locking nuts - McGard will supply you with a new key if you take a really good photo of the nut. Very efficient and not too costly.

Loosen the rest of the wheel nuts and the lock nuts will loosen after a few miles. Your wheels might fall off mind! (Not recommended!) That's how the speedline thieves (CF) do it anyway! :gayfight:
