Ok Guys and Girls

I'm getting the vinyl stripes done at the weekend and i need to remove the antenna and third break light.

I've searched on here and checked out the TIS but all i can find is this

Aerial Removal

Roll Bar Cover Removal

I noticed that there are rubber gromets on the under side of the Roll Bar that tie up to the light and aerial.

Is it as simple as just removing these and undoing a nut/screw?

Any body got any tips....excluding 'don't get the stripes done' that may help.

Look forward to your posts!!

I had to remove mine as well when I was getting my stripes fitted. Ended up removing the roll bar cover to get access. Here are a few pics from that work.

Remove the rear brackets for the soft top

There are four bolts that holds the cover in place, remove the nuts that you can see behind the rear window

Then there are two hidden nuts as well, inside the part of the roll bar cover that stretches backwards (one nut on each side)

This is the bracket that those nuts sits on top of

Finally this is what the antenna looks like from underneath

Hope this helps! By the way, my car is an early MY2001.
