Pulled in behind an Ultima GTR at Northampton services on Friday evening, the driver looked like he'd been on track at Silverstone-his sparco flameproof top gave that away.

Lotus Esprit Essex, to commemorate Lotus and Essex in F1. One of only 35 made, and only 5 remaining on the road. It was number 11 :)

On the way back from Wimbledon last Thursday passed a McMerc SLR convertable on the A3, very nice it was too. Also, at the GP there was a Koenigsegg at the hotel where the driver's were staying (which was part of the Golf Course where we were camping).

My current neighbour has a multitude of exotic cars Maclaren SLR in black, a nice F40 (which i haven't seen move yet), Maybach's, Rollers and Bentley's (which I despise) and loads of BMW/Merc's.

But my favourites are the rumbling Veyron which is out every other day

And this nice 959, one of my Fav's as a kid. This looks like a real bugger to drive. Awful steering lock and stalls a lot at low speed. I will see if he will let me have a go

Photo's taken on my Blackberry so pretty poor quality.

I used to love the 959 as a kid but I don't think it's aged very gracefully. It just looks like a bit of a toy car these days. Still, fair play to your neighbour for spending his money in a proper way. thumbsup

Not just ridiculous money, but likely to have some incredible contacts especially for the 959... The only Porsche I could ever own! As for the Veyron, I have said this for a long time... but I would much rather have a McLaren F1 as that is truly unique - to me the Veyron just looks like a beefed up TT! The best spot I have ever had and made my cry inside was when a F40 pulled alongside me on the A1 gave the thumbs up and then just gunned it away... What a stupidly beautiful car! Not much into the new Ferrari's. Sorry to jack this thread... But ultimate garage would be: Aston Martin Vantage V600 Aston Martin DBS Ferrari F40 Ferrari 288 GTO Ferrari 330 Testa Rossa Lamborghini Diablo Roadster Shelby GT500 (Eleanor) AC Cobra Ford GT Lotus Esprit (V8 Turbo) Vauxhall Lotus Carlton Maserati MC12 Ultimate Aero KTM X-Bow Porsche 959 McLaren F1 LM

The SLR is an amazing car, but soundwise it is really outdone by the Veyron when he fires it up and gives it a bit of welly. It almost makes the SLR seem tame :o

To be honest it is a neighbour of my current work office in Sloane Square. My office is right by the front door so it gives me plenty of time to dash out to look at which car he and his team of Ghurka type's who look after and maintain them are playing with.

I have asked them to get the F40 out, but they seem a bit reluctant to bring it down.

I forgot to mention he has a Ferrari GTO on the car stacker above the Veyron right now. Great view underneath that!! You can just about see it in the crappy image below. Note the Veyron on its umbilical cord.

Here he is gently truning to turn it at the end of the Mews without snagging on the camber.

Again, sorry about the shitty phone camera pics.

That is sickeningly wealthy! (I'm jealous, can you tell?) How many, or rather few, digits are there on the license plate of the Veyron? 1? 2 at most? Judging by your paintshopping of it!

There are surprisingly few decent cars floating around in South Wales. As I drive east on the M4 they all start appearing around Reading, where people have money to burn. A neighbour just bought an F430, that said, and someone down the road is building a Jaguar SS100 replica, which is gorgeous looking.

Number plate is "1B" I heard it was worth £250,000 alone without being bolted to a million £ car.

KTM X-Bow

Get yourself to Hangar 111 - they have their own kicking about the workshop; plus when I was there they had another in for work  They have all sorts of promotional guff kicking about too, including a divine retro-looking orange toaster - which not only is seriously funky, 'prints' the logo onto toast  They said jokingly that I could buy it, and change it so that it applied 'VX220' to the bread instead. Hmmm, I thought, whilst not laughing...

To be honest it is a neighbour of my current work office in Sloane Square

I thought I recognised it - was thinking that looks quite a lot like Chelsea, and not at all like Crawley :D

That is sickeningly sickeningly loaded :(
