Ha ha, so I messed up my dates, and I'm not available for the 7th, but Cliffe and me are looking at this day on the 9th September instead. It's run by Castle Combe themselves, so there will be a wide variety of cars on track

Basically it is an ex-works Renault 5 Coupe Cup car. It was built by Renault Motorsport in Paris as part of a pair of cars to run in the Coupe Cup in 1989/1990. The cars were shipped over to Radbourne Racing and run as works entries for two years.
After that they went to Prima Racing where Tony Hart ran one car and the second car was used for guest drivers; I know the then editor of Fast Car Magazine raced it. After the series finished, Tony kept his car and the second car went into private ownership and I bought it three years ago.
It is basically a Renault 5 GT Turbo with cup suspension and brakes (think Clio Cup-the format aint changed in 20 years). We have rebuilt the engine with a modded head and a balanced and lightened bottom end and run about 175 BHP which is quick enough for a hatchback.
Car has never been road registered and has spent all it's life on the track.
