Does anyone have the proper paint code for Mandarin. I want to get a touch up pen for the odd chip here and there. Cheers Nick

Best to use the Opel code, which is 596, because there is some confusion over the GM one. Looking at my touch-up pen the part number appears to be 93160489. I think Mandarin had one - perhaps he will want to sell his now that he no longer has the mandarin?

I think it's 21L. If you still need the info I can check the (still unused  ) tube on my desk at home this evening...

Oops - make that 21U. Or as YorB says, 596 or 93160490. Nice colour, whichever way you order it... B) (Actually a subtle difference there - does the product code end in 89 or 90?? Pen vs Brush maybe?)

Noooo don't go to Halford - they'll never match it I got a mandarin touch up from Vauxhall for about £2.50 - I may even still have it somewhere  When I needed a rattle can I had to go to a specialist automotive supplier - and it took them two attempts (PS if you ever do need to spray it, make sure you use white undercoat) :)

GM part number for Mandarin code (L596) is 93160490 for Vauxhall customers GM part number for Mandarin code (L596) is 93160489 for Opel customers Both are the same colour thumbsup according to their EPC. I've got access to the part numbers for all the touch-up pens with relevant paint codes etc but its a huge list (off Vx EPC) which I could send somebody (Y or B?) so she could sort through and do a list purely for VX220's?? Perhaps make it a sticky... (H, only if have you the time though :D )

Be wary tho - as there are two types of Vauxhall mandarin, the other is a much lighter solid colour (I know, as I also have one of those touch-up pens :))

Those two part numbers are NOT for solid colour Mandarin, they are for the 2 coat. The SOLID Mandarin part number is 93160410 or 93160409 so those are the ones to avoid :) Like I said I can put together a list for the touch-up pens but it may take me a while :)

Ok - here are the easier ones:

NB: these are Vauxhall 2009 part numbers which would have superceded any previous part numbers or even paint codes so those of you with old touch-up pens may have differing numbers..

2 coat metallics & pearlescent paint taken from the 2004 Turbo brochure and this forum

Mandarin 21U (paint code L596) part # 93160490
Moonland 3KU (paint code L155) part # 9200107 (also shows 93165254)
Le Mans Green 4FU (paint code L369) part # 93160486 (also shows 93160485)
Petrol 77U (paint code 20M) part # 9200122
Switch 3WU (paint code x2077) part # 93160992
Black Sapphire 28U (paint code 20R) part # 93170652
Rabiata Red 2NU (paint code L595) part # 93160478
Coral/Chagall Blue 3VU (paint code 21N) part # 93160990

Thats it for now as the paint codes, exterior colour names have changed over the years so I'd need to really dig about and get all the vx220 paint colour names with paint codes past and present/NA and Turbo etc and see what what Vauxhall call them now  Oh and I'm a bit number dyslexic so please only use this as a guide for now until I've found somebody to help me with this :D
