That would rather require an automatic or sequential transmission for starters.

Absolutely loved the DSG (or S-Tronic as audi call it) on my A3! Best auto gearbox I've ever used thumbsup

Searched for dsg found intresting info if any one else intrested.
http://blogcritics.o...of-the-gearbox/

Allthough, im guessing i would need to get in 2nd hand of a audi or the like. Just trying to get a idea of cost (if its poss)

Cost of Dsg + Labour to stick it in. Just thought to me when i go to stage 4 the engine is all ready out so good time for it. That being said im not sure if TMS or CS would even do it?

Just think it would be a nice mod. Well Depending on price lol would the dsg box from the audi's be compatible with the 2.0Turbo(VXR)

If you're seriously interested (and I'm not really sure why you would be ) talk to Dr Lee Robinson, username ZafiraZ22SE, over on Z22SE.co.uk - budget ££££s tho

Would be far cheaper and easier to sling the whole audi lump + box in as there wont be fcuking about with bellhousings etc

:yeahthat: However, the next trick will be getting a speed signal from the VX ABS to the VAG ECU/TCU setup. It won't work without it, and you might need to send it over CAN.

I have totally unrealistic dreams of putting the 1.4 Twincharger with 7-speed dry clutch DSG in my VX. Lightweight, 220hp, and nice sequential setup. :borg: Well, if I win the lottery maybe.

2.0 TSi is a great engine, but that and the wet-clutch 6-spd DSG add way too much weight. The 1.8T and 6-spd manual add 60 kilos to an Elise, and these weigh significantly more. The 1.4TSi isn't about wisely spending money, just proving that it can be done and not trashing the handling. I have no realistic plans of doing it, it will take me a while to save up for a supercharger and that is so much cheaper of a route to go. The 1.4TSi is very underrated as engines go, it is really nice to drive and gets silly mpg for a 200+hp Petrol.

Cheers for the input people. I been thinking about it quite a lot TBH it comes down to price If its going to cost £5k Plus then i guess is not worth it but if its only a few K (£2-3K) I think it would be a wicked mod. By the sounds of it it would higher than i thought. Just stick with stage 4 then :-) Thing is i havent seen 1 VX with it so im not even if TMS or CS or the like would want to even try it, and then if its not some thing they done before i reckon the price would be high. Grrr i keep dreaming then lol

Don't even dream about it if you're not going to do the bulk of work yourself - you could spend £5k in labour only to find out it's not feasible :o

Though perhaps dreaming is a extreme!

I just think paddle shifters in the VX would be make it even better. Yes only once in my Friends car ( Corolla i think ) Will be also be trying it out in a lamborghini next year. Just after 2-3 hours my knee some times gets sore from the gear changing with paddle shifters i wouldnt get that!
