Hi. Searched the forums and read a few topics but never really got a clear answer on one of the most monumental questions regarding the lambo doors. Can you actually get out of the car more easely? I usualy park quite tight in my neighbourhood and it would be a great benefit if the doors came up instead out out on the sides... But i don't wanna look like a fool trying to get out and be stuck like a monkey in a cage And second of all, are there other types of doors you could fit on the car without having to destroy the original setup? (like the koenigsegg doors) I don't wanna mod my car without the option to reverse it and keep the structure of the car intact Lots of love //Anton

It's a cool idea but adds quite a bit of wieght and is very expensive. It has been done though

They must surely add weight, the hinges you will need have to be even heavier grade to cope with the weight of the VX door. The gas struts will leak with time, leaving you with a door that lifts up and slowly drops, most likely as you climb out under it, hitting you on the head making you look like a tool. How exactly do these look good? You will increase the obstacles getting in and out of the car, now needing to duck under & step over.

Much better idea, I was thinking the other day doing stuff in dad's greenhouse on the comments the other day on slatted covers for the bootlid. Could be easily connected to a heat controlled louvre adjuster.

Then parked up in the cold the engine cover is closed when the engine heats up, the louvres open giving cooling. Just means no need for the engine cover fitted on the tubbies to protect the spark plugs.

waiting to see what happens with Munchers new parts. there was an interesting fastback style that I thought be be easy to vacuum form on polycarb. ( like the tamiya models, then spray paint on inside )
