hey all,i was wondering does anyone no if there is a 7 inch flip down cd dvd player that will fit the vx perfect as my old one didn't flip right up because of the lip on the dash or if someone has one for sale. I no what you are all going to say but i have a good reason as my girlfreind gets board very easy so this keeps her entertained for a while lol. so if anyone has any pictures of there dvd player in the car would be brilliant thanks.

Swap her out for a different model mate. It'll be cheaper in the long run. Match.com are running some good offers on replacement parts at the moment.

Will never get this getting bored in a car thing. Erm - look out of the window? Have some thoughts going on in your head? Have a conversation? Listen to some music?

I saw a thread somewhere on here where a guy had taken a chunk out of his dash in order to fit one of those flip-up screens. Was great when the screen was up but looked a bit mince when the screen wasn't there. You could always do it "pimp my ride" styleeeee and stick a screen in the boot!

Yeah I remember seeing the chunk out of the dash - made me cringe and wince all at the same time. It was a European newbie IIRC...

I tend to find that playing the "inappropriate touching" game seems to liven up the journey somewhat.

Works better with the doors locked.

I was being a tad sarcastic. As soon as a car goes on that show they end up putting screens and subs everywhere. If it is an SUV or something like that they put some screens in the boot so that apparently when you park up you can watch a DVD?!?!? They stick them in the most unpractical places. What's wrong with the 24 other screens they've put on the dash for watching?
I did see one guy who was going to college to be a mechanic and they put a touch screen on the underside of his pickup so that he could watch video guides on how to do things while under the car!

I could also have suggested putting the screens in the back of the headrests!

I have recently seen a VX with a flip out screen CD player, where the dash had been modified. Cant for the life of me remember where though! Think it was a LHD model maybe?

she cant she is half blind can only see as close as the dvd player would be, cant talk to her as she is deaf. and i want a good cd player to listen to the music just need a good cd player to play the music that's why a 7 inch flip down dvd player would do it.

thats bad lol i wouldnt goes as far as that, just need one to fit pass the lip there must be a few available.

that sounds like a good idea lol been measuring up the day think its going to take a 50 inch LCD might try get sky as well. anyone no were i could put the sky dish so its out the way and hidden.
