Looks like it's not just Croft, Bedford and Combe that have problems with the neighbours.

translation from Paul:
"The Council of State has suspended the license which allows the operating up to 2026 of the circuit of Spa Francorchamps on 21 September. That writes Libre Belgique to drawer. The decision of the Council of State comes years there almost two after local residents lodged a complaint because of noise nuisance. They insisted on the suspension of the license, approved by then minister André Antoine. That license was delivered on 12 April 2007 and allowed the exploitation of the circuit and the realisation of work, which is meanwhile already wound up. Condition was that there a study came to the noise nuisance. The Council of State finds the study " heavily inadequate and withdeficiencies". Because she cannot guarantee that the operation of the circuit no " seriously to repair with difficulty damage caused" the operating authorisation are suspended. "
It's been suggested that the improvemts were in place when the judgement was passed.
They are looking to get it sorted by the end of the week.
All speculation and conjecture at the moment.
Who knows :s

Looks like the race is back on for this weekend, but no idea about the longer term situation yet.
