Worst comes to worst there is an evening session on at the 'ring on the 1st which is about an hour away from Spa.

Anyone interested?

This is looking like an option; I can move but not cancel my chunnel crossing. I think we are stuffed on the hotel though.

I am kinda with Siztenboots on this and think it maybe worth going anyhow but if we can get another Spa day then I would prefer to move my crossing.

I would figure that Paul will not be able to get another day at Spa this year and we will all be offered a credit or refund and possibly end up doing a UK track instead.

Baaaaa, I'll go with the majority and of course Fab.

I have the Eurotunnel booking that can't be cancelled , but I can cancel the hotel for the one night.

TBH, I still quite fancy a short trip with the start of British summer time. My return tunnel is 20:50, 01-Apr

Steve,

You can't cancel the eurotunnel booking but you can amend it, or upgrade it to a flexiplus ticket which is then refundable. Seems like a loophole but might be worth a try.

Sorry, I forgot you've got an overnight ticket which isn't upgradeable, but can still be amended to a new date.

in which case I could amend it to the Ring trip in August. I need to keep the return part flexi as I won't know the full extent of the Euro tour to Italy and Monaco as I still trying to plan an route and itinery and hotel options etc.

as it happens the 'ring is opening at 3.15pm on the 1st, so that's an extra 2 hours on the usual evening session thumbsup

Even if days were on the problem would be getting in at such short notice. The Nordshleife is unique in that you can turn up on the day then pay and play.

Steve (Sizten) can't you change your chunnel booking so that you could do the ring?

Bastardos!!!! Not sure what to do now.... Long way to go just for a p*ss up and an afternoon session on a circuit like the Ring.... Think I'll knock it on the head tbh, but I can be swayed by popular consensus. I cannot get to my emails right now, but has anyone suggested Zolder to Paul Golding...?

Very busy with work, so have decided to move my tunnel crossing and am doing Le Crois in August with Lot, and 2 other trackdays instead of Spa, a charity one at Goodwood and Silverstone. Was very close to cancelling hotel last night, but Jimmys positivity stopped me (no way it wont be open in 10 days, as he said! ), so Jimmy, you now owe me 158 euros worth of beer!!! Sorry I wont be joining those who go, but have been to Spa and Nurburgring a few times in the past, so not really bothered about a drive around the area. Hope you all have a great time though, the roads from Spa towards the Nurburgring are amazing, though primarily once you cross the border into Germany. Martin s

I need to find out if I can amend the Eurotunnel as mine is the overnight rate. [update] can't change the type of booking from 2 days , but could do another 2 day later in the year, provided I don't leave this 24hours before departure. might be doing LoT LeMans Bugatti instead ( May 31st bank holiday ), nothing decided yet

real shame, Spa is still one of the few circuit that has not been poisoned by changes.

I will double my efforts and try to get something organised for Imola in September
