Called the Hotel, the manager I've been waiting for doesn't speak English anyway :rolleyes: It's too late, we are what they call in the business 'fucked' and will be charged full whack.

Frustrating, especially as I nearly cancelled the night before and alos asked that eve about extending the cancellation time. Think they were aware of what was going on and that they were about to lose loads of business as got no replies, and the guy I spoke to who said he spoke English when fisrt asked, suddenly lost the ability to speak English! Good lesson in life though, always read the cancellation rules. I know Vix is still heading out there, anyone else still going? Martin s

Well there's still the option of a road trip, p*ss up :drink: and a trip to the 'ring rallly, or take the hit on the hotel and find a cheap and cheerful place to stay near criox?

Have you tried suggesting that if you don't get a refund then we will all book elsewhere when it's rearranged. Can't speak for everyone, but one for all and all for one and all that. Just a thought.

thats a definite possible , but I am also doing a Scottish tour that finishes on 27th May

I would drive out 30th Sunday , stay in the LoT hotel, track 31st then head back for evening crossing. Need to check time and distances first. (270 miles ET to LeMans = 4hours)

Unfortunately not no, I waited to speak to Manager and was told we had to cancel through booking.com so there was no avoiding the charges.

wasn't going to bother cancelling so that they can't sell the room twice!
