Hello all,

I had a rough price guide on getting in all the parts from the USA:

Intake Manifold - $777 brand new RRP, but can be bought for $660
Throttle Body - $150 brand new RRP, but can be bought for $128
Supercharger - $1405 brand new RRP, but can be bought for $1195
Boost actuator - $228 brand new RRP, but can be bought for $194
Gasket - $19 brand new RRP, but can be bought for $17

Coming to a RRP price of
$2579 (£1,540.37)
or a 'can be bought for' price of
$2194 (£1,310.42).

I've wanted a supercharged VX for a fair while now. So in trying to get the parts in I found a guy who may have several sets of all of the items.

Now he's not too keen to sell the parts seperately, BUT the more I order and get shipped to me, the more the postage cost goes down.

I don't have exact numbers as of yet, however I have a feeling it will be in the region of £950 each. I'm 99% sure it won't be over that at all, but it may even be a lot less! It's still a saving of £350... not including shipping for each of the individual items!

So far the list stands at me being pretty much confirmed for this price, however I know of 2 others who have contacted me regarding it, so I will add them as provisional.

As he doesn't know exactly how many kits he has just yet, I can't be sure how many I can promise! I only inquired about the 3 to start with.

I think it's a pretty good buy from what I've been told! If not, sorry maybe I didn't do all the research!!

I don't know if James was interested in one, as I know he mentioned it to me, if he is, then he will probably be 4th on the list!

So here we go:

1. Seb
2. Phear
3. _Dan_
4.

With regards to those who may not trust me with their money, I have met plenty from the site and have been to meets, so I'm sure someone will kindly put in a word for me!

Let me know.

Thanks

Seb Ferraro

I'm interested on the basis that someone would be able to do the install for me as well (at an appropriate cost!) I have no idea what I'm doing with these things and feel its sometimes better left to the professionals!

Just be carefull on the import duty, I bought a water pump for the westfield from the states and it cost me another £40 ontop of the £150 for the unit. Steve

I'm sure there are some people around who you can give a little cash to do the project *looks at vocky*.

The full list of 'extra' parts you would need is included here, couple of posts down by vocky: http://www.vx220.org...-....html&st=40

Steve

I'll have to check on that, is import duty measured on size, weight, or is it a percentage of what the items are worth?

So is it £950 total or £1310?

So far, max we should be looking at is £950 (will have to check import duty).
The £1310 was the figure I was told I'd be looking at paying normally, for instance, not in a group buy and not at this price :)

I'm sure if you PM vocky he would give you a figure. If you wanted help from me as well (at no charge, more an extra pair of hands), don't hesitate to shout.

It's the Eaton M62 1.0L one from the cobalt SS.

Sounds an excellent deal, out of interest which company are you using to get your parts from? is it worth buyign the intercooler at the same time, as i thought that this was the only difference between stage 1 and stage 2? D

I'm guessing you mean the charge cooler :) In which case it would probably be cheaper to get it here to be fair. PLEASE NOTE: I have been informed these superchargers are all off cars with less than 20k miles. So they are not brand new, but are all in perfect working condition and have had inspections.

At the moment, it's more a case of trying to find out exactly how many kits he has available I think! Am waiting for them all to wake up so he can let me know :)

defo sounds good to me, just totally dependant on fitting costs really. As if its too insane it would be easier to get the whole thing done by Courtneys
