In the Vx220 (NA) owners manual the recommended tyre pressures are 26F 27.5R But searching the posts on here regarding tyre pressures, it seems a lot of Vx220 drivers have their tyre pressures lower than this eg: 22F 24R Does this not generate higher tyre operating temperatures etc? How many people actually have their tyre pressures at the manual-recommended 26F 27.5R ?

Hey, mine are 22 front and 24 rear and seem to work best for me on the bridgestone Potenza.

Car too light to get tyres very hot, unless maxed out at 150, and no one would do that right... or pushed hard on track on a hot summers day.... But generally there seems a trend in running pressures around 22 to 24. I think this is too low, but each to their own. The cars not that fussy, and can handle well or kill you on either settings.. ...

24f 26r ( bridgestone OE fit ) , kumhos 25/27 22 is too low for the winter / wet , you will never generate the temperature and the sidewall will flex rather than transmit that energy to work the tread blocks

I always ran my Bridgestones/standard wheels on the recommended pressures including on track days. I only run the reduced pressures on other wheels/tyres. I subscribe to the theory that Vauxhall/Lotus have recommended tyre pressures for a reason and know more about it than I do.
