Is the gearbox itself going to be able to cope with that kind of torque? Thought the F23 was only "officially" rated to 230ft/lb. Clearly we've been pushing past that for some time but this is a huge leap into the unknown.

Indeed. I half had you and Zebwatch in mind when I posted that. I still don't understand how a slippy diff works so not sure whether that will have any positive or negative effect on how Nev's gearbox will mechanically cope with that level power.And there has been quite a lot of mentions of geaarbox issues in modified cars on here - mine included.

However, I will still have to pay Courtenays for taking my gearbox off and fitting it as the car is in Norfolk rather than in my garage where I can work on it
