Hi, I might decide to take on a rebuild on a damaged VXT,but the front clam is missing and so are the lights. I can't find any VX clam+light but I found a few Elise ones. Can the clam fit straight or clatches with doors bolts etc? Has anyone done it? Thanks

As interesting as it would be to see the bastard hybred that results from this work I really don't think it's going to be an easy fix.

The Crash box on the ELise is different to the VX one so would have to be replaced, bolt holes etc are probably about right but the shut line that means the front edge of the door is likely to be all wrong and need a fair amount of modifying.

VX front claims do come up on ebay from time to time plus there is now a company making new ones for around £800.

Plans Motorsport turned a
Speedster into an Exige but that's not quite what your proposing.

There's a saying on this forum, you can't run a VX on a fiver!

I think it needs extending to you can't rebuild a VX on the cheap, do it properly or leave it for someone else to!
