I'm thinking of having the Regal Stage 1 engine remapping done . In some of the other posts it mentions that version 8 of this software will be available, is this the case and if so has anyone have it yet.
Anything else I should know before speaking to Regal???

just further refinement....there has been a checksum error which caused the engine management light to come on...this has now been fixed!
but to give a breakdown on the remapp features i will try and list them
1. 300 extra revs before the soft rev limiter kicks in---this really does make a significant difference
2. better fuel economy-- believe it or not...
3. better throttle response----ask those that either have the software or those that have driven may car!
4. better bhp/torque curve ---around 20bhp/20lbft at 3500-5000rpm---very noticeable when you want to overtake!
5. max bhp/torque increased by around 10/10
hope this helps!!

Throttle response and 3rd gear acceleration is what you will notice the most

bar the engine management light, is there any difference between v.11 and the older software, cos i think i have v.8 and as i understand it there is a limit to the amount of times you can reprogramme this ecu ( think its about 10x?)
cheers
