There is an option to program the airbag ecu in op com. I can't understand why it would be working fine then all of a sudden need flashed to clear a fault code :S

Pretty sure it is not an MOT failure.

It won't be an MOT failure.

I read somewhere on here that they got their airbag reflashed at VXL for £10 or similar. I used >these<

I stand corrected airbag light is not an MOT failure at the moment, but apparently from December 2011 it will be along with HIDS & Chipped ECU's, well according to this website don't know how reliable it is.

(Rushed around getting my airbag light fixed for the MOT wish I hadn't bothered now)

Had the airbag warning light on for a while now and finally got around to ordering an OP-COM which has arrived today. Plugged it in and got the following: 00031 - Driver Airbag Squib Circuit High Resistance Present.

Did you get your error sorted in the end Yaaan?

Just been putting my car back together for an MOT tomorrow and I've got the same error. Suspect my heater vomiting clouds of coolant at the airbag ecu a few weeks back has probably upset it.

OP-COM won't clear it, nor will it let me reprogramme the car as a non-airbag equipped car. Did you end up sending the ecu away to be re-flashed?

I'd forgotten all about this!

I bought a squib off P4cks at the time but never got around to generating the necessary level of enthusiasm/motivation to get around to changing it. Then I took the car to MMG for some work and when I got it back the light was out so assume Liam had reset it. However, since fitting my ITBs the light is back on so need to look at this again. I've yet to check if the op-com will still talk to it although it should do.

I don't want to go through the hassle of sending the ecu away whilst I'm home but my MOT is due soon (forget when) so may have to see if I can sort this out when I get back in a couple of weeks. If you manage to find a solution let me know as I'll be on the case with this mid June.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Anybody else out there with OP-COM than can do a quick scan of the airbag system on their car to see if the following log looks believable?
