I don't have any soundproofing/speakers etc behind the seats so thought I'd consider the engine bay side, so has anyone removed the thick fibre material? If so, was it easy and did it make a massive difference to the noise or heat in the cabin?

:yeahthat:

POP if you're ECU isn't bolted through it! :beat: ha ha! Think I will cut the material around my ecu and remove what I can. The more I can hear the engine and the more weight I can strip the better! :D

I have no interior shelf, no interior sound deadening and no engine bay deadening - can't tell the difference  but then I rarely have the roof on when driving rallly

Did you unscrew everything that is bolted through it or just cut it out?

And can I do it all through the engine bay or do I have to take the undertray off?

u have to unscrew a few pipe clips then reattach afterwards only worth it if you have clam and inlet manifold already off otherwise it'll be a complete arse
