You appear to be alienating (or picking a fight with) well over 50% of VX owners!

Do you really think thats a good idea for you longterm VX220.org.uk membership?

NA v T  :ban:

your colour v my colour  :ban:

:grouphug: VXers

Edited to add: Do new beetle owners really wave at eachother?...or are they all just trying to get the flower out of their face as they go round corners?

oh dear oh dear! :o :o

touched on a nerve then, good job I don't really give ****. ;)

I didn't realise that 50% had made that mistake, I learn everyday. :P

Your right about the flowers though..... I once saw a beetle with a jumbo sunflower in it....I dont know how anyone could have seen out.

Perhaps we could have a vote?

Let me stay

or

Let me go.

Dave ;)

Fiat Panda 1000 FIRE - Accident at a junction. Insurance company classed as 'Beyond Economical Repair' paid up full amount of car and let me keep it! Peugeot 309 1.6 - Big end gave way at 80mph on the M25 and rear brake cylinders popped. Not worth the repair - scrapped. Escort 1.4 - Skidded on ice, went through a hedge and in to a field. Bonnet, bumper, headlights repaired and resold after 12 months. MR2 Roadster 1.8 - Fell asleep at wheel. Hit tree. Repaired at insurance companies cost of £5,500 :o VX220 - Stupid motorbike rider gashed front bumper open. New clam! 5 years: 5 cars, 4 crashes, 1 blown up! :beat:

Just to clarify......I didn't start the thread to get some kind of ego trip, its just I had a light hearted argument with Vauxhall as to what cars the owners of the VX220 and VXT came from. and both the porsches were dead old and rather naily.

A suprising number of loyal Vauxhall customers there i think. As for me: Vauxhall Chevette estate Triumph Dolomite in yellow Alfa 33 Rover 216 Vitesse Vauxhall Cavalier (due to baby) then in twos Vauxhall Astra GTE 16V Ford Fiesta 1.6 diesel Alfa 75 twin spark Nissan 200SX (and a temporary citron 2CV) and now Vauxhall Omega estate diesel VX220

Jimh The Gilbern was a deep metalic blue with a stage 2 3.1 ford V6.. I used to commute 80 miles a day in her... each night when I got home I had to start repairing something so it was ready for work the next day :beat: .... but my young children loved it - a real nice 2+2.... that stopped crowds - just like the VX....
