I dont know about everyone else, but i kinda expected people who owned VX's and to be on this website to have had loads of extreme cars. I thought i be one of the few who had pretty normal cars, and the VX being my first. I reconise many have had some hot hatches and hot saloons, but they nothing like a VX. I was expecting lots of caterhams, perhaps elise's, other kit cars. Basically impractical silly sports cars, for car nuts!!!

Forgot to mention that I had a 1978 Triumph Spitfire 1500. Is that extreme enough? Can't find the pipe and slippers icon :sleepy: although I did mildly mod this car.

I was massively supprised too.

I think thats the reason I get picked on when I say the VXT is underpowered. Most people are used to regular cars so the VX is a big step up in the performance stakes.

There are a few VX owners who have previously owned Elises ! Out of interest, what were your reasons for moving to the VX?

By God some of you are old!! 1995 a 1978 polo as old as me (my sister wrote it off) 1997 Saab 9000 (expensive to run, I wrote it off - twice!) 1999 Mondeo (actually a good car, sooo cheap to run after a Saab) 2001 BMW 330d sport (great car, would buy another one, but chip it this time) 2002 Merc SLK (investment, sold it on and with student loans made enough money to buy VX, loan free! Middle age ladies car, but the chick's love um) 2003 VX! I love cars but it's nice to not be horrifically in debt with the VXlike I have been on previous two cars!

9 points in 2 days? :o That must have slowed you down for a while! :)

Great comment re the 9-5. I drove one and it felt superb. I think they're quite brilliant and I too would choose one over the Beemer.

Hi Gedi, Moved to the VXT because it is quicker than my Elise's. The Elise can be tuned but generally you end with a very peaky engine. The VXT is fast and smooth, and with the AMD Phase 2 upgrade really flies! Hoddy
