OK, so I've had my VX for around 2.5 years now and have spent lots of time and money on it since purchasing it on my 19th Birthday. My parents were on holiday at the time and were quite surprised at the gift I had bought myself when they got back.

My car is know as the Yellow Peril, a name given to it by my Mrs's Nan whilst drunk in a Chinese restaurant. Yes she did bark that name across the table at the top of her voice

The car was totally standard when I bought it except for a naff induction kit which was swiftly replaced with an ITG which didn't last long ;)
I will no doubt forget some things and have to keep adding to the list but here goes.

Exterior mods:

De-badged rear
Chopped front V, colour coded but currently wrapped in matt black
LY/VXR windscreen and surround (wish I'd have gone for a heated one but didn't realise this was available at the time)
Blended Customania louvres over front arches (the ARE functional too)
Tubby ears
Tubby rear spoiler
Seat Leon Cupra front splitter
Satin black TD 1.2s (with Lotus wheel centers - controversial but the colour matches!)
Black wheel bolts
RSG black annodised fuel filler cap and surround
Smoked indicators
Full front end HID conversion
Ariel removal
Tubbified lights front and rear
Flat wiper blade with inbuilt washer jets
Elise/exige door mirrors
Colour coded hard top which I love the look of but prefer to be topless when the weather permits

Interior mods:

Alacantara trimmed dash plates, center console, door cards and handle surrounds
Metal H gate
MOMO gear knob
Shortened shifter
Full carpet set
Head unit replacement with hardwired iPod connection
Additional 12v power supply in center console
Harness bar
OMP harnesses
Custom composite seats with exterior colour coded leather pads
Polished gearstick, window winders and handbrake lever
eBay jobbie polished alloy indicator stalks
Fire extinguisher mounted under pax seat
Cup holder painted black
Headrest removal

Handling mods:

GAZ Gold Pro coil overs with 475 front and 550 rear springs (needing a geo)
Yokohama AO48 LTS tyres
Quick rack (PITA!!! )

Performance mods:

Stage 2.5 supercharger conversion (the .5 being the duel pass mod and large pro alloy pre rad with large header tank apparently)
Triple pass race radiator
Cool running thermostat
Larini backbox
Larini de-cat pipe with magnaflow 100 cell high flow street racer cat welded in
Uprated organic composite clutch
Lightened billet flywheel
Close ratio gearbox
Short shifter
Uprated polly engine mounts
Lots of weight stripping (including dieting!)

Planned mods as and when time and £££ allows:
Rear diffuser (undecided as to which one but swaying towards an MMG short a la Nelly!)
Full non-Vaux ;) engine swap with...
Wiseco pistons (low compression)
Eagle H-beam steel rods
Supercharger Comp Cams
Balance delete
different vaux crank ;)
different ECU ;)
3" exhaust
HARROP supercharger!!! :tt:
Possibly an even closer ratio gearbox but it might be getting a bit silly by that point! :groupjump:

I blame Joe for this list

I'm definitely more of a driver than a polisher but I'll get some pictures up this weekend after a good polish.

Thank you to so many people on this site for helping me spend my hard earned cash, fit parts and to a special few who have become very good friends :grouphug:

rallly

This picture was taken at the National last year in Anglesey. I didn't actually track the car there (and never have... YET!) it was just taken on the photo lap :D It is a bit out of date now, the main difference being the car no longer looks like it is on stilts!

The Harrop is the cheap bit! We all know now that the eaton will struggle to go over 300bhp so any further and it has to be swapped

Don't waste money on a harrop then thumbsup

My goal is a monsteriusly quick road car with occasional track fun.
I agree 300 would be a lovely figure for track and much more could be tricky to master but as a hooligan road car I know I'd get bored with 300 and I love tweaking! :)

I want it motorbike quick ;)

it seems 300-305 bhp is the max for the GM sc unit, three cars with similar power figures can't be wrong ;)

Exactly thumbsup and very impressive results they are

The eaton will certainly do me for now and even once the engine is swapped for a while :) but after 300 it is harrop time B)
Now what's this about a 1.9 Harrop!? :D

Also, I have removed the metal H-gate from my interior! :( It looks great IMO but it slows my gear changes a little more than I would like. Seems little point doing double short shift it the gate slows me down
