Just setting up some shocks and wondered what a decent starting point for the damping adjusters is...? I've set them at 15 from hard front, and 10 from hard back, but that's just a guess.

Mine were way too hard at 10 front 18 rear. Think they are like 7/12 now.... Nicer for road driving. Before it was like driving a hyperactive see-saw.

eh...? 7/12 is a firmer setting than 10/18 though...?

I'm talking about winding them all the way in (ie fully rigid) then counting the clicks back. Quite nice shocks these Golds, I'm inpressed!!

My Gaz Golds have 16 clicks from soft to hard and was told: from soft Road = front 5 rear 7 wet track = front 7 rear 9 dry track = front 9 rear 11. I am currently running 4 front 6 rear with 375 front springs and 450 rear springs. Cheers Oakmere

Vaughan we will be running your shocks full hard Sat!!!! Maybe a click or two on the front... They are a lovely shock on the road, but are too soft for my taste! I like my super stiff Nitrons! Club of one for me them  Was impressed by the Gaz's though! Very nice ride on the road, and no crashing and bashing over bumpy bits! Damping was nice, but I've yet to tune them to a setting that I really like. Without a shakedown on track it's almost impossible to I guess. For the money involved for Golds though they are excellent!! Much better than Billies!!

Would be useful if people put how many clicks total as Post is for Gaz gold PRO (mine have 21 clicks) and are set to: F 16 (From Hard) - 5 from soft - 400lbs R 13 (From Hard) - 8 from soft - 550lbs Not completely jitter/Bounce free tho yet so will be tweeking slghtly at weekend. Will be trying 4-5 clicks between front to back next.

I do not know what springs you are running Jim, but with 425f and 550r I have found 12 from soft front and 10 from soft rear are good. Stve

Just trying to sort my suspension out and need a bit of help if anyone can. Im going to have a play around with my settings to find the best for me but some rough help would be great . My car is running gaz golds and the spring rates are 300F/450R. I got some graphs when i bought my suspension.

I cant really understand how to read them properly until im messing with the suspension, and also from a bit of reading quite a few run softer on the front maybe 2-3 clicks then the rear. On my graphs they seem to have all different settings which i know because they have all been tested but do i stick with what it says.

F 16 (From Hard) - 5 from soft - 400lbs

R 14 (From Hard) - 7 from soft - 550lbs

Exactly what I have. (possibly quite literally).
I started at 4 front, 6 rear which gives a nice ride but I found it too squishy although it did cure the squat issue I had with the OE billies. I'm just experimenting with 5f, 8r. All settings are from soft.
