What's The Real Difference Between Us (l61) And British (z22se)

do any of you know the real "no sh**" difference between us (L61) and british (Z22SE) 2.2L ecotec? not what you think should fit, or not fit.

its the same engine, i think the only difference is they use a different ECU

From memory the L61 runs a cam sensor too.

From memory the L61 runs a cam sensor too.


No, same setup as ours, compression sense phase using the coil pack

The L61 doesn't have an EGR valve

MY08 saw them move to ETB, EGR etc.

the engine internals are the same, so cams / valves / pistons /rods are all good thumbsup just don't expect the exhaust manifolds to fit thumbsdown

I think the L61 has a 6 rib crank pulley whereas the Z22 has 5.
