
Help! How Do You Replace The Crankshaft Sensor

Could be a lot of things but if you want to replace that you need to;
Remove plug into coil pack
Slide the vx220 turbo cover off
the plug at the far side of the engine (drivers side)
remove (find small screwdriver put in sidewards to release clip easier on sime)
not you need to remove the plastic cover on the top side section - 2 torx E8 or E10 then you can remove
you can now remove the retaining bolt holdin the camshaft sensor - lift out
Worth cleaning it if dirty and refit as it is a hall sensor and this can effect its workings
Bit tight but not a long or hard job
Do not overlook the connector of doom or earth connections if its not that

thats the camshaft sensor , engine will run without this
crankshaft sensor is much further down and attached to the block.
This is the engine upside down, you can see the trigger wheel on the left next to the oil pump ( cam belt end nearest OSR wheel ) , the crank sensor picks up on this
