VDO Dayton type head unit in the car. How the hell does it come out..? Tried a variety of keys, but no joy... :wacko:

I just used a couple of flat head screwdrivers and levered it out. Came out fairly easily actually!

I had this fun problem a few weeks back, solution for me was the sony stereo removal keys and a large pair of scissors/screw driver. Hopefully yours will be a lot easier than mine to remove.

Jimmy, if you're still stuck I have my stereo out. I can take some pics of the latches this afternoon and post them.

Sure its just on old standard latches http://www.halfords....tegoryId_165626 will get it out. Sure that what I used on mine, or 4 small screw drivers, random bits of coat hanger wire, nails, lol. Push, click, pull.

Thats what i used, buy it, remove from packaging carefully and remove stereo at halfords, repack and refund! chinky chinky

I have taken the picture, but every time I put the SD card in the lappy it locks up. Gotta love winblows. :rolleyes:
