Is there anything I need to know about removing the airbag...? Obviously wish to avoid it deploying in my face  How does it come out, and how do I rem,ove the squib. Any info on what I need to change over to a sparco type wheel would also be appreciated :)

Airbag is easy. Ignition off, 2 bolts on th back of the steering wheel, and pull the tab out of the connector. If you can put a new wheel on the hub then great. Taking hub off is a PITA.

I've done this too many times. ignition off and key out undo airbag bolts x 2 remove airbag, and disconnect the yellow/blue connector remove allen bolts for steering wheel then wheel comes off loosen steering shrowd by removing all screws remove centre (green) bolt holding boss on use boss remover tool (trust me you need one) to remove the boss once boos is 'loose' use allen key to remove the silver screws that is holding the squibb in remove ECU is just 4 bolts under the dash and the pink/yellow (or pink/green) connector
