Haven't been on here for a while, just logged on to put my Dad's Milltek exhaust up for sale..I'm pretty bored so gonna put some pics of my car up

Sooo, it started off as a standard 1.8 SRi, over the course of a year and a half I did some stuff to the engine and when it got mapped it made just under 170bhp, not bad seeing as standard they're only 125bhp. Still wasn't fast enought though :P

Here's how it looked before the Z20LET conversion started

Posted Image

Before I'd even bought an engine I started gathering bits up for the conversion...ECU set up, conversion hubs, new wheel bearings and a pre-cat pipe

Posted Image

Then bought a front mount intercooler kit with enlarged top hat and 63mm boost pipes. Also got a thermal inlet gasket, crossover removal kit and a lightened billet flywheel.

Posted Image

Started removing bits from the 1.8

Posted Image

Then came across some brand Astra VXR injectors and a brand new 80mm afm for bargain prices

Posted Image

Also got a mint VXR turbo from the same guy

It's been mapped to EDS Phase 3.5, in addition to the bits I've said about above it also has an X20XEV inlet cam :) should be around 280bhp if not more

Thanks for reading :)

Wow, looks like a fair chunk of money, time and effort went into that Corsa! I bet it's fast though. How does that chassis handle all that power through the front wheels...or doesn't it? :P

 Handles it quite well tbh, wheelspin can be an issue in first and second but yeah it's not too bad :) needs an LSD for coming out of the corners really but can't afford it now :(

Nice. Well done. Of course what would have been better is if that engine had stayed in the vx220T! ;)

Very nicely done thumbsup I find the suspension is make or brake on big engine Corsa's Always used Bilstein Sprint kits modified for the extra weight and got great results

I am a big fan of your Corsa! Nice work! Im all for engine swapping (what you got it insured as? haha) ;) My turbo started life as a 2.2 N/A, now its a lovely stage 2.5 Z20LET and booked in for the stage 4. B)

Fair play doing the conversion yourself ;) - as it is the LET not LEH engine did you remove the balancer shafts also? Def worth while on the vx if the engine is out especially. What diameter exhaust did you go for? Can be a restricting factor on the vx above 280ish bhp Not sold on the inlet cam swap fully myself but Regal love to sell it :P :D I think it would have looked better oe mirrors and wheel colour but that just my view :) My R5 turbo with 1.8 20V turbo vag engine / box transplant was running about 270bhp and even with a diff had a hard time - before the diff it was just a waste of power lol - def money well spent though Keep up the good work ;) DG

It's insured properly with Flux as a 2L Turbo and everything declared, not worth doing it any other way imo

I was originally going to but Courtenay were having trouble getting the parts so I didn't bother

I wanted a 3 inch exhaust but everywhere I went refused to do it, so had to settle for 2.5 inch

The mirrors are OEM ;) SRi's come with them as standard...they're not crappy M3 mirrors!

Thanks :)

Yeah didn't think many people would be  makes it stand out from the crowd though :)

I had the Sri mirrors on my corsa before I got my vx220 must of spend 20 grand on it and only sold it for 6 on a 56 plate. My mirrors were stolen 3 times the Sri ones are £400 and rare. I like the wheels but am only 23 lol.

What's wrong with harnesses and bucket seats without a cage? As long as they are mounted to strong points with weight spreading plates should be fine. Or is it just a visual thing?
