Didn't they try to sell the Daewoo branded version in Japan? Or was that just a motor show special type thing?
Not sure if its was for sale in Japan but Daewoo certainly rebranded the speedster out the far east way.

The RHD Opel Speedster NA was introduced on oct 15 2002, and on sale for a few months in 2003 (from jan 11 to feb, or march).
According to an automotive article (in japansese) it was a scheduled for 100 pieces.

As the name Opel Speedster get's written in japanese over there, it get's no hits in google searching in english.

I can confirm i've supplied one pair of headlight lenses to Japan (postal addresses are a nightmare, btw). So I assume there's at least one.

Never knew this. Wonder if it would be worth more in this country as so incredibly rare.
