Finally found the rattle (hopefully the only one) coming from the engine bay was the upper heat shield used to duct the hot air from the turbo round the intake pipe. Does anyone have a spare in good condition, or know the likley cost of a new part? Thanks John

i think the lower heatshield cost 80 from autovaux...you can always take airintake pipe off and put an extra bolt in to make secure

Call lotus, ask about the europa one. It'll probably be cheaper than vxl and will be the same part.

This heat shield is missing from my car so has anyone got a spare? Anyone know how much a new one is? Trevor.

May be cheaper to try and repair/replace just the nimbus bit of it. Just use the old part as a template
I repaired mine (rattled due to fatigue cracks in the Nimbus) by reinforcing the lower edge with a strip of aluminium pop riveted to the Nimbus...

Thought it had more sides than that? The one in this photo the takes hot air past the boost pipe.

Trevor.

It's only a drawing/representation in the parts book. It is the right part :)

Ah I see!
Its part number 23 as above (bracket). Its actually 2 parts, numbers 16 and 23.
Which do you need?
Its the upper heatshield and bracket, as seen here:

Should be about £60 delivered. Depends on your point of view if this is too much. If you have a tidy engine bay, then this is the right price to pay, however if you take the pragmatic approach its a lot of money for some bent nimbus you can fabricate yourself. Me, I paid the money. Its item 10 on the attached pic.
