Ive had slight oil leak problems on my other half's astra coupe turbo, the oil return pipe under the turbo has been weaping oil ever so slightly ever since i fitted the vxr turbo unit. I have changed the gasket on the pipe twice and even began to think the turbo was faulty, today i received and fitted a new oil return pipe and it has cured my leak. I guess vauxhall knew the convoluted pipe was inferior and modified / changed it, mine must have fractured etc. Anyway making this post to perhaps help someone out with a similar leak or suggest that it is included in the vxr turbo parts list. thumbsup

imho the original z20let turbo pipe was a better and more expensive part. I think vauxhall tried to go cheap on the VXR.

A lot of people I know with astra vxr's have had to have this mod. Why KKK changed it for the newer design I do not know? Steve

Think this is one of my many turbo issues. Is it a straight replacement part from Vauxhall or aftermarket item. Had a look on the EPC but can't seem find the part number.

If your looking the number up yourself its in the engine section of epc and under oil pipes, i just ordered it and the modified part turned up. It does away with the gasket to the turbo as it has a green silicon o-ring instead, i reused the copper washers on the 24mm banjo bolt. thumbsup
