Probably you mean an alu joiner for the heater hose you have to cut/modify for the SC conversion. The CS remaps suffer sometimes from "random" ecu faults that turn your fan on constantly. (no EML!) CS solution: fit an independent T-sensor in the cooling hose joiner and connect fan relay with this instead of with ecu. As a bonus the fan switches on earlier than 106°C. (Please correct if wrong.)

My fan comes on occasionally. Error code comes up as running lean. Only occurs when the map switches from the low rev map to the high rev map. I believe there are 3 maps, cold low rev, hot low rev and high rev. I may be wrong, its just what I've been told.

Yep, Spoke with the Dutch guy that cracked the Z22Se ecu about this CS remap and according to him it's a bit bodged together. It sort of works, but on these transition parts the ecu cannot calculate the right fuelling.

ahhh yes i understand its these little bits of info that all add up to get a better picture. so is the cs map good enough or are other maps available and if so who's doing em. i take it one map does all applications whether charged cooled or not. also which is the best or most usable/easy to get hold of throttle body to use. my aim is to have it done the best way possible so not to fall into anytraps when i turn up for rolling roading.

The cs map is fine. You can ask them to double check thia area on the rollers to get it spot on. As far as I know no one else maps SC cars. WRT throttle I'd recomend the 68mm LSJ one although CS can deal with the OE one.

Courtenay supply a base map to get your car to them, then they adjust the map for your car, it's not 100% perfect and there might be a few spots which aren't ideal but generally the mapping works very well thumbsup

A good start to avoid any issues when you go for the rolling road is fit an uprated fuel pump first. I know a few on here who have had to have the mapping pegged back as their original fuel pumps have not been up to the job.
