Hello Chaps, I'm getting the following two codes: DTC P0137 HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 DTC P1137 HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 2 Lean System or Low Voltage Can someone confirm which Lambda sensor needs replacing, is it the front or the rear one. I've actually ordered both, £140 in all. But thinking I should only change the one that is showing up with the EML. I'm getting a really poor 25 MPG, so hoping the fix changing one or both of the Lamda's will sort. I also intend on fitting the EGR cheater and blanking plate to try and improve the MPG. Any thoughts?

If you are changing one then changing both sensors is no more difficult. The front one will effect MPG, the rear one is there to make sure the CAT is working but not really used for fueling/air adjustments. The rear sensor is just a little more awkward to feed back through the wheel arch to the socket. 0137 and 1137 and bank 2 (rear post cat sensor) and saying it is running lean, not rich. http://www.speedster.../z22secodes.pdf

I guess running it lean is not efficient and in the end you would be using too much fuel. The difference is me spending £70 on a sensor that I don't need to change. If the error code is just on the rear, shall I leave the front?

If the car has run it's share of miles, both could be running near EOL, and the time to invest to get the diffuser off for the first probe, you might as wel stuck in a new secondairy also. Less hassle in the future, but it's your wallet chinky chinky

It's only done 6,600 but had been sitting still for a number of years. It pains me, but unless someone can advise me otherwise, I can see me changing both!

According to the PDF of z22se error codes then it's bank 2 (post cat sensor) but your original post says bank 1 sensor 2 which also suggest post cat sensor. Same difference I guess. If you have ordered both then change both. They are easily done at the same time as they screw into the exhaust all of 12 inches apart. Whilst the undertray(s) is off then it is no harder to fit both than just one and should give satisfaction that you don't have to do it again any time soon, provided the problem is lambda related but lets ignore that for now. EGR cheater and blanking plate is dead easy.

is anyone gettting more than 180 miles to a tank fill on a 2.2 N/A? I've ut up over 20,000 on mine in 3 years and cant remember getting more than 180 for a tank fill - unless on a single long run and I can touch just over 200 miles. Mine is in standard format with no mods to the engine. Should I change my sensors too?

How big is a tank (in your definition)? How many litres do you put it on each fill up?

I do about 220 miles on 30-33 litres.
The VX takes about 36 litres from empty but I don't believe the pump can get the last litre or so without starving the engine, plus the filler neck will hold a bit too.
