Not high or wide enough to really 'work' on a vx, unless you have a fastback engine cover.

Ive always wondered about this and the other exige spoiler on a VX I think it works well but you'd have to have it on an na, or loose the tubby spoiler on a turbo rather than 'doubling up' with the spoilers :)

Whos car is that above then?

I also recall something about them fitting to the engine cover on an exige not the clam, so they'd need modding to fit.

That's NickB777's car. The OEM Exige spoiler attaches to the engine cover, at least it did until the recent facelift. The spoiler on Nick's car is more like (and may well be) the S1 Exige spoiler which was properly mounted.

Couple of photos of wing fitted to my car. The height was set low as it was my first track outing with it fitted.

Sorry to dig up an old thread but that large spoiler looks the tits, i quite like the height, just needs a more aggresive angle :D Next on the external mods list i reckon.

That was my first track outing with the wing fitted, so I went pretty conservative on height and wing angle. The adjustable bracket allowed another 4-5 inches of height and an extra 3-4 degrees of angle. Plus I'd drilled several holes in the mounting plates to give me more flexibility on height adjustment. Even at the low settings the wing was giving me 5-10 mph more corner speed. Never got a chance to experiment with it properly but with he other modifications I had it looked as though I could easily knock 3 seconds off a lap at Knockhill, which is a big chunk of a 60 second lap.

How was it to fit? I'm guessing you went through to the subfame?

Yes, metal plates bolted to the subframe and slots cut in the clam for the wing mounts. The plates also doubled up to secure the rear clam as I had removed the boot section much like the latest mod Rapidos has posted in the user gallery section here.

If you are keeping the boot then Nicolae posted some photos of his wing supports last year here. A much neater solution and easier to revert to standard without too much fibreglass work.

What mounts did you use? Was it these? If so, they don't look long enough to go through to the subframe. Or am i missing something? http://www.elisepart...oiler-brackets/ Thanks for the advice so far thumbsup
