I always like to give credit where it is due.

The Canvas Repair Centre,
120 Branston Road, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire DE14 3DD
01283 541721

The above repaired the tear in the cloth insert on my drivers seat. I am OVER THE MOON with the work they have done. Basically they removed the ripped cloth insert and put in a new piece of material. The match is excellent.

The Canvas Repair Centre are a big player in the small market of repairing caravan awnings, tents etc. They are usually reasonabaly quiet for the next month or so until people start thinking about having their camping gear fixed up for the new season.

Photo below was taken as seat was being put back together but at least shows the quality of the work done by The Canvas Repair Centre.

While I had seat in pieces I took the opportunity to remove a little foam from under the seat and renew the cushion on the back rest. The backrest was repaired with foam and a yoga matt that I chopped up!

Cost was based on I did them a favour and they did the seat for me. Always the best way! Paul

Are you using your VX to move house? What's all the stuff behind the seats?

Haha, fair enough! Looks like they've done a grand job on the seats though. I have fabric seats in my VX and they seem to wear incredibly well. No bolster damage at all.

Are the seats easy to take apart? Been wanting to make them a bit more comfy, the Mrs keeps moaning at me. Also do they repair the bolsters as well?

the Mrs keeps moaning at me

Pull the lumbar pad out from behind the seat facing and bin it - problem solved.

Basically the seat covering is attached to the seat with "spray carpet glue". The covering comes off easily. First class repair of bolster by The Canvas Repair Centre!!! Paul
