I've done two separate cars with Satin black spray straight on after rubbing the corroded bit off with sandpaper and its been fine since.
Same for me - light rub with wet n dry, mask up with newspaper then straight on with Hammerite Satin - lovely.
Lots of light coats is the secret to non-drippiness..

I painted my side vents, and front grille, with engine paint, straight on, using a very small brush (like a make-up brush).
It took ages to do the front grille (with such a small brush) but the result was worth it.![]()
Here is a pic of my front grille.
looks sweet IMO..

looks sweet IMO..
Cheers.

...and it's very easy (and rewarding) to get it looking like that.

So what are we saying, 2.2 drivers wear make up and have a feminine side whereas us Tubby owners are real men and a brush is something to do with the law ?
Just asking ----------------
Or is it that you Tubby drivers are just large with big ears?
