which one of these ranges is better for a road going VX 220 that gets used at weekends and during the summer?
I have an Airflow battery conditioner so am used to keeping my VX battery topped up over the winter.
having just suffered the pain of removing the standard 063 battery i am determined not to put a battery that size back in!
thanks in anticipation.

does PC680 work as an every day battery and can you charge it in the car or do you have to take it out?
thanks.

Yep works ok everyday - although I've not driven the car through the winter
I did fit an FIA style cut off switch for when I'm not using the car. I'd have to take the battery out to charge it as I live in a first floor flat (but have never had to)

I've got a 680 and during the winter it will go flat after around 7 days if not used, will prob last a bit longer in summer. Certainly if you are using the car every few days it will be fine.

RSG,
DOES THE CUT OUT SWITCH TRIGGER THE ALARM AND/OR DO YOU DISABLE THE ALARM BEFORE USING THE SWITCH?
THANKS.

You dont need to shout

I wired the switch so it cuts out all power from the battery. Same as removing the terminal cables so the battery wont go flat.
Link to my switch
The PC680 has M6 female connectors, so you can either convert you battery cables to spade type connectors (which is what I did) or buy some terminal converter posts such as listed on here

sorry about the shouting.
my concern is the alarm because if you just disconnect the battery cables without disarming the alarm it goes off big time.
do you have to disarm the alarm before using the isolator switch?
thanks.
