Only just found out about this 2day. Reading the bumph on the micro$oft website it says it comes with a HDMI cable. Does anyone know if this cable will work with the normal 360 or is there some strange wizardry that would stop it? Would it be worth getting a shinny black 360? :P :D B)

HDMI won't be working with the old current 360, so if you want to use it, get that shiny black box B) No wizardry needed to stop it, we don't have HDMI out, must to a lot of peoples anger! Not sure it's worth it just to have HDMI out though, unless you plan to get the HD-DVD player too..

to be fair the elite is of no real "gain" if youve already got a 360... the current 360 outputs fine to my TV in 720p over component vid. HDMI is a mild farce for the only real "upgrade" on the elite (that isnt transferrable to the normal 360)
