Not in this life time. I'd have problem enough buying a supercharged Honda Elise. No fecking way would I pay for the privilege of a 1.6 litre yotamota from a shopping trolley. thumbsdown

Lotus is really confusing me at the moment - all the concept cars are high powered, larger displacement supercars. All the current models seem to be losing CC's and getting slower. Why in gods name would anyone buy a current model lotus?

More than likely aimed at the female market. It looks as camp and Christmas.

AFAIK we've EU emissions regulations to thank for that. :beat:

Must admit I quite like the look of that front end though.

Theres a thread on SELOC at the moment about them. Somebody's claiming they got 56mpg out of one in regular use.

Proof if it was ever needed that it's becoming a hairdressers car. Why on earth would anyone want to measure it and God forbid shout about it. :(

Crazyness - £ 27,000 for such puny performance. My VXT base car + recent build costs come to less than that and should provide 3 or 4 times the power. I guess the 'badge buyers' will still buy it (bless their little hearts for keeping Lotus from going bust!). :groupjump:

10bhp/ton less than an n/a VX220, but 56mpg someone says compared to 31mpg. If I didn't have to pay for one I'd have one for commuting to work in. Put a big tank in it and it'd have a range of over 600 miles..

What does go in it's favour is it will be brand new. So within an hour or two you could remove each bolt, grease up some new stainless ones and never have to worry about a clam removal.
