It is a long story and I will not bore you with all the details however I would just like to thank Drive in Leamington. TOP JOB. And a great deal. I loved my VXT (27000 miles despite 5 months out of the country) but the timing was right to make the change. I could have collected it Saturday and joined the boys at the Ring - how tempted was I! I will keep you in the loop with all opinions but so far it is pure love. The car is just amazing.

And I was not expecting this shield thingy. Maybe Stu can explain what it is but I am guessing it is a heat shield or something. Everything else in the engine bay looks the same to my dumb eye!

The shield is there to stop water getting into the spark plugs. It's fitted on all new VXTs and can be retro fitted to both the NA & Turbos. Not sure, but think it might be a warantee job if your car suffers. Very nice car btw. Have you speced the Ohlins? Edit for spelling :beat:

I presume the two lotus boxes contain, or contained the uprated brake pads?

Did not know that. Thanks.

No Ohlins - the car is standard. If I could have afforded it I would have bought the Ohlins but I am making myself feel better with the thought that 90% of its use will be on the road.

Yep thats it.

The car has standard pads on at the moment and the ones in the box are Pagid 14s.

Didn't you have a VXT before? If so, how's the new power delivery compare to the old? I'm getting a VXT and then a Stage 2 at AMD but I'm curious as the VXR has a different turbo doesn't it. I am a little jealous though, I must confess. Enjoy! B)

What? You & Ricky practically live on the 'ring.

I know it's a public road ;)

Mind you, least you've got an upgrade path now :D

Those wheels are really nice - think they're on the shopping list, at the top :)

Very nice, So can you divulge how come no 35 was built so early? When did you order? Oh and have you fitted the pagids or left the standard ones on? This is making the wait almost unbearable.

I am not really able to compare the power delivery in the VXT v VXR yet as the VXR has done less than 50 miles.

You are right it has a different turbo.

Re brake pads - the ones fitted on the car at the moment are the standard turbo ones. I will get round to swapping them as and when.
