So can you divulge how come no 35 was built so early? When did you order?

The car was ordered in June 2003. I don't really understand how the numbering works. No number 13 was built that is about all I have been told.

This is only my second VX!

Your a dark, dark horse ben :groupjump: Wish I had known, came thru Lemington Sat and Sun sunday B) Congrats though! I cant believe you didnt go for the ohlins being a track/ring-meister!! How do you find the VXR suspension to the std VXT? Esp over bumps and pot holes? I spoke to someone at Vauxhall about a clam today and he also enquired about delivery of mine - Mid to late August Imnotworthy Another Q - how long between event 48 and delivery/it being ready??

Yeh my VXT went TT. I loved that car. Amongst my top 3 of all time. Along with the Caterham and the M Coupe. But what about the the 205 GTi and the Land Rover and the Spitfire (ok I was only 17!) etc etc! CC - I would have bought the Ohlins if I could have afforded it. New house/TV/stamp duty etc etc really cleared me out so I am going to be broke for a while. You might not know this yet but all insurers are insisting on a Tracking device to cover theft - another £400 or so. AND ... Stereo - minimum £200. Extra insurance - £100. Milltek - £500. Remap - £500+. It all adds up.) Suspension is my thing, but at the moment I am really really impressed with the standard VXR suspension. Like I say, if money was not a factor I would have specced Ohlins but truth be told I could not afford it. Sometimes you have to compromise in life! But with a rich gf CC you might not know this yet! ;) Just put the baby to bed and she is looking sweet.

Anyway, she has expensive tastes too, she has decided she wants to chop the 206cc for a A4 convertible :o Personally i think she will prefer Ohlins.... :D :D

Well now I should cut and paste my post from the long VXR post :beat: , only just got round to reading this one  Like I said I will pop up to the ring sometime when your over for a fast pass lap Imnotworthy I think suspension wise just with the std LSS you will be happy, Mani's certainly felt like a good comprimise for road and track. Anyway once you've got used to the car and got some spare cash you can make the upgrade :) See you soon! John.

nice one mate! Welcome to the exclusive club of the VXR owner thumbsup

I have a standard VXR suspension on mine...and its sweet. Just come back from some serious roads in Luxemburg...and believe me my baby delivered!

First VXR to do the Nurburgring also...with Stick Yokos it gripped and went round corners without any under stear..

regarding insurance...i am with liverpool Victoria...tracking device is not compulsory but it does make sense to have one ;)

have a look at the suspension...mine seems to be sitting higher with more wheel clearance....I am sure that the VXR was supposed to be 20mm lower than standard VXT???

enjoy!

Ben(not that you've been gunning it yet!)/Mani, how do you find the power compared to your 250bhp T and 160bhp NA?? And the handling/ride?

I hate to upset the rest of you guys even more but your car was actually the 34th built, there is no number 13 you see. As a slight aside, don't be surprised if you see other vx's "pretending" to vxr's. We've just built four or five in different colours

If you don't mind me asking, which insurer are you with as I see LV (Mani) and Elephant don't seam to make that request ?

Cheers, Ian

Already said about number 13.

But if my car is the 34th to be built where is number 10?????? Or is that the 51st to be built?

All makes sense to me NOT! What is your involvement?

Edited to say that I do not mean to sound rude. B)

Tescos. And they have been brilliant for me.

Vauxhall said the same thing but the premium was £500 more

And ok I will get round to updating my profile.
