Ok, I have a standard NA with no mods. I want to modify it somehow to produce a lot more noise. What is the cheapest way I can achieve this without affecting my insurance, vx warranty or long-term reliability of the car.
Lets hear your suggestions guys???

U can remove the big rubber hose at the inlet to the air box. Completely free of charge, gives u a massive induction roar.
Janspeed/Piper sell backboxes for 330-380 £ that sound A LOT!!!

Attach some playing cards to the wishbones which rest on the wheel spokes

Induction kit - £50 upwards
Piper / Regal / Vaux Sport Zaust
Pre-cat removed
= Lots and lots of noise, popping, banding and scared grannies in the street.
Many would call this childish.....me i think its 
EDIT : All will affect insurance tho - oops ! (mine only went up £80 tho !)

Is this the one connected between the airbox and the trumpet style instument. What is the purpose of this rubber hose? Will it have any negative affect on anything if I remove it.

Piper/Janspeed/VSE etc exhaust - excellent for noise, will effect insurance, will effect warranty (unless it is the vauxhall sports exhaust)
Remove the tubey things from the airbox - never heard it, won't effect insurance, won't effect warranty, might degrade performance*
precat removal - never heard it (probably OK for noise), might effect insurance, might effect warranty
*maybe
For max noise with least expenditure, get a piper/janspeed/vse and an induction kit and take the small hit on insurance.

Induction a problem on NA? thought that was just turbos with the AMM probs.

Was referring to the alleged increased engine wear from the induction kits due to poorer filtration. I guess both versions would suffer from this, the VXT getting AMM faults into the bargainInduction a problem on NA? thought that was just turbos with the AMM probs.

To add more noise, just add your misses to the passenger seat and drive fast!.............
...maybe not the noise you want though.

the cheapest and easiest noise mod. 
has got to be...just taking the roof-off and winding down the windows faster you go the noisier it gets
