Its the huge 2" rubber hose 8" long. It can be safely removed, without any drawbacks. You even reduce the pressure drop a bit but that is a margnal effect. Thanks clipping_pointU can remove the big rubber hose at the inlet to the air box. Completely free of charge, gives u a massive induction roar.
Is this the one connected between the airbox and the trumpet style instument. What is the purpose of this rubber hose? Will it have any negative affect on anything if I remove it.
People might tell u that u will draw in hot air, but thats just hot air!!
If u move the point of suction 50 mm inwards the engine it won´t affect anything. The hose is there to reduce noise!

I removed the plastic trumpet from the top of the box and cut off the tube section inside the box as well as providing some ventilation

Loosen the undertray bolts - it will then vibrate like a bastard and produce lots of noise
HTH
PS Take a light unit out and push the vertical mounting bracket back until it almost breaks. Replace the light and hey presto you have a vibrating light as well and more noise. It worked for me anyway

Removing the big rubber hose adds loads of noise but I reckon it felt slower and caused vibration. I would try shortening it a bit or using a larger diameter tube.
