thumbsup Good man. I'm sorry if the last post seemed a little short/impolite. I get all protective of our little cars and their owners too. When circumstances force either you or i into a sale that we really don't want to make but have to, it must be like adding insult to injury trying to take him/you/i too low. Just my opinion and one a share in the trust that you'll see where i'm coming from by putting yourself in his shoes. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you that it all goes well thumbsup

Yea I completely agree. Just the prices seem to vary so much not really sure what ballpark I should be in :) Hopefully all will go well. Any input would still be appreciated though :) J

If that car is in as good a condition as described, HPI clear and it has full (every year) service history then 7 grand for that car is a cracking price thumbsup

Very true, there is a large variation but i think a lot of that is down to the owners that are selling because they have to and not because they want to. Personally, with my business suffering from the effects of the recession, bird and swine flu and even the heavy snows we had where nobody moved for weeks, if you waved £15,000 under my nose i'd be a fool not to take it. But 2002 na's (as you are obviously aware) are selling for a lot less than that but that's what i would accept and to me, a car is worth what you're prepared to spend married with what i am prepared to sell for..hense such a big difference in prices. (IMHO)

Edit add..sorry to fill your thread with so much waffle..i'll shut-up now :) .

Waffle away mate. It all goes towards my final decision. I think providing all is in order this will be the car for me. Just need to go check it in the flesh etc. Keep the info coming though as every little helps. Although £7000 isn't a lot for the car its more than I have ever spent on any vehicle before so would prefer to do the research first :) Thanks again for all the info :) J

Nice one mate :)

What would you class as a low offer? He said he willing to accept £7000 or should I go lower?

J

I missed your earlier post about £7000, that seems a fair price if it is as described.
The best deal is when both the buyer and seller are happy with the price chinky chinky

Hey guys, Sorry to drag up an old thread! Nearly a year on and I have decided that I still want a VX220. I got offered a BMW 325 last year that I couldn't really refuse and have been driving that since however I still have a hankering for a vx220. So now I'm looking again. I have a budget of around £7000 at the moment. Anyone have any leads? Cheers all J
