This pic was taken by the recovery team. Glad that passing car who called the emergency services had a passenger who saw my lights in the depths off the road. That alone was lucky... Spot the Speedster!

yikes... seeing those "daylight" pictures, and having the visual reference to the roadside, makes me really glad you got out as "lightly" as you did thumbsup

No, my head didn't hit the screen – those impacts are from the rocks it landed on.

Don't forget it's LHD. This the view that worried me most – that leather was perfect before. Now I know why my head was partially scalped!

Every panel was wrecked, along with front and back lights, etc. The chief mechanic agreed that the replacement parts alone were more than the market value, not considering labour.

My wife drove when we went to the garage at the other end of the Klausen Pass. For some reason, she chose to drive around these mountains rather than over the pass...

The mechanic said that they are always collecting cars, and especially bikes, from that corner. He said the tarmacadam gives way to concrete at this point and that's the reason. Don't know if it's true, but I intend to find out. Hre also said I chose the better side to fall off. The drops are much worse on the other side

>here< is a view looking from near the top down that side *shudder*

Didn't go over the pass on the way back either – was busy falling in love again – test drive (as a passenger) O-R-G-A-S-M-I-C!!! Still working on my better half, but it is already clear that, if I go for it, it will have to last me 'till I'm unable to get into it or no fuel is available, and I will not be allowed to increase/replace the rest of my garage machinery in a hurry either. Wives do have their limits of tolerance...

What colour was the exige? :D

:D

Who said it was an Exige?

What I looked at was actually a

Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup :drink:

and its colour was:

Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy B) B) B) B) thumbsup

And this evening, I've been offered the choice of an F355 or a 911 Turbo for the same money or less, but do I want them instead? Would I get the same thrill on track with them?

No!

Have I had a bump on the head?

Yes! :D

Will my wife let me use up my b'day and Xmas money for years, nay, decades to come on this insanity?

I don't yet know, but I did get her to take me there for a viewing (but only with the strict instruction that I promised her not to say "yes" there and then  Good sign...

And though she most certainly does not like what it costs, and I doubt she'd ever drive it, I think she actually likes it, so there is definitely hope... got my work cut out – wish me luck!

sofly, softly catchy monkey... ;)
