Over the last week or so, I'd noticed my boot lid sitting slightly proud of the rear clam. I told myself that I'd investigate it this weekend. However, I got to work today and it looked decidedly open. Upon closer inspection (couldn't look
too closely as I was running late for work anyway

), it appears that the fastening mechanism has completely detached itself from the boot lid and remains stuck in the receiving section at the rear of the boot (if you see what I mean).
Has this happened to anyone else? Please tell me there's a super simple home remedy - one that can be carried out by a total mechanical dunce. And, if not, is it the kind of thing that Plans/TMS would fix? Or am I faced with forking out for vxl monkeys?
