If you want the pain of stripping the door cards out and faffing with the mechanism, then yes. Otherwise just live with the gaps and carry a tea towel to mop up the splooge on the sills.

I think my leaks are worse than most, may resort to getting a garage to sort my windows out. I maxed out a fair sized towels water capacity mopping my vx out...
